Characteristics : A medium heavy coated, hydrogen controlled, iron powder type used for welding creep resistant steel of 1.25% Cr, 0.5% Mo type. Smooth and soft arc which is easy to strike. Finely rippled smooth weld beads. The weld deposit is of radiographic quality.
Applications : This is specially used to the welding of 1.25 Cr, 0.5 Mo and similar creep resistant steel which finds extensive use in high temperature components of power plants, boilers, oil refineries, petrochemical plants. Some of the steel for which this electrode is suitable are: SA 387 Gr. 2, Gr 12, Gr 11, SA 335 P2, P11 &P12, SA182Gr. F11, F12, SA 217 Gr WC 6 etc.

Precautions : Use short arc during welding. In case of moisture pick-up, re-dry the electrodes at 250°C-300°C for 1 hour.
